Jeff Dodge's 2017 Emmy Predictions

The 69th Primetime Emmy Awards are this weekend at 8pm ET/5pm PT on CBS, hosted by Stephen Colbert. Below are my predictions. (Note: The winners in a few of the categories were already announced at the Creative Arts Emmys, but I still wanted to mention what my predictions were so that everything is together in one article.)

Best Drama Series:
Stranger Things

Best Comedy Series:
Veep

Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series:
Sterling K. Brown, This Is Us

Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series:
Elisabeth Moss, The Handmaid's Tale

Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series:
Donald Glover, Atlanta

Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series:
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Veep

Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series:
John Lithgow, The Crown

Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series:
Millie Bobby Brown, Stranger Things

Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series:
Alec Baldwin, Saturday Night Live

Donald Trump didn't deserve to win the 2016 Election, but his SNL counterpart Alec Baldwin most certainly does.

Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series:
Kate McKinnon, Saturday Night Live

The Peoples President Hillary Clinton should have been elected, and her SNL counterpart Kate McKinnon also obviously deserves to win as well.

Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series:
Hank Azaria, Ray Donovan

Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series:
Alexis Bledel, The Handmaid's Tale

Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series:
Tom Hanks, Saturday Night Live

Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series:
Melissa McCarthy, Saturday Night Live

Best Limited Series:
Big Little Lies

I personally would love to see Feud win.

Best TV Movie:
Sherlock: The Lying Detective

Best Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie:
Robert DeNiro, The Wizard of Lies

Best Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie:
Nicole Kidman, Big Little Lies

Jessica Lange was brilliant in Feud--and she would be my pick to win if I made the decision. But as long as the annoying and self-centered Susan Sarandon doesn't win, I'll be happy.

Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie:
Alexander Skarsgard, Big Little Lies

Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie:
Laura Dern, Big Little Lies

Best Reality Competition Program:
RuPaul's Drag Race

Best Structured Reality Program:
Shark Tank

Best Unstructured Reality Program:
Born This Way

Best Reality Show Host:
RuPaul Charles, RuPaul's Drag Race

Best Variety Talk Series:
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

My personal pick would be Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.

Best Variety Sketch Series:
Saturday Night Live

Best Variety Special:
Full Frontal with Samantha Bee Presents Not the White House Correspondents' Dinner
